Answer: Spectator Photos is a website that provides opportunity for spectators, amateur and professional photographers to upload and sell sporting event photos to the event competitors (or share photos free of charge). Photograph quality and price are dependent on the photographer. Participants can search for their photos using information that the photographer has added with the photo, normally this includes event name, date and participant number.

| Question: Do I need to register? |
Answer: You need to register if you want to upload and sell photos, you do not need to register to buy photos. You will also need to register if you want to upload free photos and maintain control of them.

| Question: Can I upload photos without regestering? |
Answer: Yes, you can upload photos when you are not registered or logged in but these photos will be freely available to all website users and not watermarked or sold. Up to 3 photos can be uploaded at a time.

| Question: How can I notify administration about a photo? |
Answer: Not all photos are screened by administration for appropriate content, it is a condition of using the website that only appropriate photos are uploaded. Administration welcomes the input from viewers to help remove inappropriate pictures and the respective users - in the intermediate image view there is a "Report to Administrator" link ( ) , click this, complete the necessary details before sending to administration. Please also use this button if there is a picture of you that you do not want displayed.

Answer: Cookies are a plain text piece of data that is sent from a website and is put on to your computer. Cookies usually allow a user to leave and return to the site without having to login again and other various chores.

Answer: You may promote and encourage spectators / photographers to sell photos of your event on this website and also refer the event competitors to the site to look for their photos. There are no photographers contracted to Spectator Photographs for photographing specific events, it is up to the event organiser to ensure that photos are taken. Please contact info@spectator-photos.com to enquire about how you can earn commission from sales of photos that originate from event website re-direction.

Buying Photos |
| Question: How do I find my photos? |
Answer: Search for relevant photos using the search function, common search criteria that can be used are usually the event name, date (month or year) and competitor number.

| Question: Why am I not able to find my photos? |
Answer: Photos will only be available if Spectators have taken pictures and identified them correctly. Try modifying your search words to the key words only. Photographers may also upload photos long after the event so it may be necessary to search again later. Please also remember that this is a relatively new website, more photographers will join over time increasing the number of photos available so please bookmark this site and pay us a return visit after your next event.

| Question: How can I view selected photos? |
Answer: Using the search field you can find photos according to your search criteria, these will initially be displayed as a series of thumbnails. If you click on the first image in the series you can select Slide Show button to automatically progress through larger views of the selected images.

Answer: Photos that are in My Shopping Basket will be listed when you click on Go To Checkout. Click the Paypal Buy Now button to go to the Paypal secure site where payment can be made by credit card (or paypal account).

| Question: How will I get the photos that I have ordered? |
Answer: Immediately after successful payment you will receive an email sent to the address that you provided during the transaction process, this email will contain links to the original photos that were uploaded by the photographer. Photo prints are not currently available.

| Question: What if I do not receive an email with the photo links? |
Answer: Check your spam mail to see if the email has not been caught by the filter. If it has not been sent please contact sales@spectator-photos.com to check your transaction and re-send the links.

| Question: How can I be sure my credit card transaction is safe? |
Answer: Spectator-photos makes use of the secure payment services of Paypal, please refer to their security information (www.paypal.com) if you want to learn more about the security measures in place to protect your payment.

| Question: How can I be sure of the quality of the photographs purchased? |
Answer: The quality of photograph is dependent on the photographer that uploads the photo. There are different versions of the images visible to the user before purchasing - thumbnail images that are used for browsing and do not have watermarking, intermediate images that have a watermark in the centre and the full size image that can be viewed by clicking on the intermediate image - this image is heavily watermarked but can be used to view size and content of the image that you will receive to download. Unlike the intermediate image, colours in the full size image are not representative of the image available to buy.

| Question: Why are prices different for photos ? |
Answer: The price of the photo is determined by the photographer, different photographers may set different prices based on their perception of demand, image quality or content.

| Question: What about the copyright for photos that I buy? |
Answer: Please refer to terms and conditions for more detailed information about copyrights. In summary, the copyright of a photo remains with the photographer.

| Question: How can I get permission to use a photo outside the scope of standard terms and conditions? |
Answer: The terms and conditions section cover conditions regarding the use of the photo. If you require additional files or permissions please contact website administration who will in turn contact and request this from the photographer your behalf.

| Question: Can I get a refund for photos purchased? |
Answer: Unfortunately due to the fact that the photo is sent electronically means it is not possible to get a refund unless the photo delivered is not what was ordered. The small and watermarked views available to the buyer before buying the photo, as well as detail about file, should be sufficient information to base your decision to purchase the photo on. If you have doubts please contact website administration before the purchase or do not buy the picture.

Selling Photos |
| Question: How do I register? |
Answer: Go to "Register" and fill out the required fields - email, username and password. After submitting your information you should recieve an email message at the address that you have submitted while registering, giving you instructions on how to activate your account. Your account must be activated in order for you to login.

| Question: What does it cost to sell photos? |
Answer: Registering and uploading photos is free, there is a 15% website administration charge that is deducted from photographer earnings when a photo is sold. This charge is to cover the cost of financial transactions and website administration.

| Question: Why do I need to provide an Email when I register ? |
Answer: Your email is used to validate your application and as a means of contact for administration if required. Your address will not be used for unsolicited emails Your email is also used as your account payment reference on Paypal so it is important to keep it updated.

| Question: How can I change my registered email address? |
Answer: When you are logged in go to "Profile" and change the email address. IMPORTANT: make sure that the email submitted is correct and that the email is registered with Paypal - this is used as your account payment reference.

| Question: Do I need a paypal account if I register? |
Answer: You do not need a paypal account at the time you register but you will need to open a Paypal account before you can request payment transfers from your account. If the photos you upload are free of charge for event competitors or you want to donate the prodedes of sales to charity you do not need a Paypal account.

| Question: How can I donate my earnings to charity? |
Answer: When you have earnings from photo sales shown in your account you can request payout using the "New Payout" link, in your mail select the charity that you wish to donate your earnings to and send. You will receive e-mail confirmation that your instructions have been followed.

| Question: How Do I login? |
Answer: Go to "Login", submit your username and password. Check "Remember Me" if you want to remain logged in to the site if you leave it. IMPORTANT:Cookies must be enabled and the cookie from this site must not be deleted in order to use "Remember Me".

Answer: Did you register and click the link that was sent to you via email?. The link will activate your account. For other login problems contact the site administrator at admin@spectator-photos.com.

| Question: What if I forgot my password? |
Answer: Use the site "Forgot password" link to send your password to the email you registered.

| Question: How do I upload a photo? |
Answer: Go to "Upload". Click "Browse," find the file to upload and click "open." Select the appropriate album from the drop down menu corresponding to the month of the event; include the title, location and date of the event; include a description of the photo e.g. where the photo was taken; include participant numbers that will be used to help find photos for buying. Click "Submit". Important: Users that are logged in can upload 10 photos at a time, these will be watermarked and offered for sale. Users that are not logged in can still upload 3 photos but these will not be watermarked and will be freely available to all visitors of the website

| Question: Why is the upload of photos interupted? |
Answer: You may be attempting to upload too many photos or the the photos are too large. Try reducing the size of photo and the number of uploads. It may also be that the web server is very busy (peak usage occurs after weekend events), try uploading at a later time.

Answer: Please refer to terms and conditions for more detailed information about copyrights. In summary, the copyright of a photo remains with the photographer.

| Question: What type and size of a file can I upload? |
Answer: Only jpeg file format can currently be uploaded, a file size of approximately 1200 x 900 pixels is recommended.

| Question: Why are my photos not visible after I have uploaded them? |
Answer: Photos may initially held by administration for approval before they are visible on the website to users. After approval (which should be within 24 hours) the photos will be visible. Only photos which are relevant and appropriate will be approved.

| Question: How can I edit files that I have uploaded? |
Answer: For security reasons access to files has been restricted and it is not possible to edit information after a file has been uploaded. It is possible to delete the file and upload again with the corrected information.

| Question: How do I get paid for photo sales? |
Answer: Send a message from your user account to administration requesting payout. To avoid excessive administration work this should only be done when your account balance is greater than £50 or after 6 months has lapsed since last payout or account initiation.

| Question: How do I check details of photos that I have sold? |
Answer: When you are logged in go to My Profile you will find a link to your account. You may need to log in to this section again using the same user name and password. Here you will find details about your account balance, earnings and sales record on a transaction by transaction basis.

| Question: Can I store my photos online using this website? |
Answer: Spectator Photos website is not a storage facility, photos will be kept for a reasonable period of time to allow customers to buy photos however it will be necessary to remove photos without prior warning to save server space so do not rely on this website to be a storage facility.

Navigating the Site |
| Question: What's "Album List"? |
Answer: This will show you the entire category you are currently in, with a link to each album. If you are not in a category, it will show you the entire gallery with a link to each category. Thumbnails may be a link to the category.

| Question: What's "Upload Picture"? |
Answer: This feature allows a user to upload a file (size and type is set by the site administrator) to a gallery selected by either you or the administrator.

| Question: What's "Last Uploads"? |
Answer: This feature shows the last uploads to the site.

| Question: What's "Most Viewed"? |
Answer: This feature shows the most viewed files by all users (whether logged in or not).

| Question: What's "Top Rated"? |
Answer: This feature shows the top rated files rated by the users, showing the average rating (e.g: five users each gave a : the file would have an average rating of ;Five users rated the file from 1 to 5 (1,2,3,4,5) would result in an average .) The ratings go from (best) to (worst).

Answer: This feature will let a user store and manage photos in a Shopping Basket file using the cookie that was sent to your computer. When you Go to Checkout these files will be listed and you can pay using the secure Paypal payment service
